Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 1011 reviews.
Really easy to set up, like the portability of it, only complaint is sometimes the temp is uneven.
Easy to install. Hook up was fast. Just know HOT means HOT. Gets hot very fast and will burn you. Go slow with the settings to make sure you don't burn yourself.
I bought two of these for a treehouse and a camper Airbnb. They work great and are pretty easy to use. Hook up a propane tank and find a way to power the pump. The pump didn't come with something to plug in so I had to do a little electrical work to add a plug, but when customer service sent me a replacement for one that broke due to freezing, they sent me a 12 volt car connecter with it that would be suitable for camping. All in all, these are a great choice for our use. Just make sure you drain them before it freezes outside or take them inside for the cold.
This package is really awesome looking and can't wait to try it in the "wild" soon. From the unboxing, I can tell a lot of thought went into the entire concept and package. The feet can attach to provide stability on the ground. There is a good handle on the top, and mounting holes to secure it on a wall as another option. The propane hose is nice, quick connect onto the heater, and the other end fits a 20lb tank. The quick connect water lines are also really slick. The shower head connects on the output w/ the red hose and has a pause (stops the water) button. Unfortunately this kit does not come with an INPUT hose, to use and connect your water supply from. That is why I took off 1 star. The inlet/outlet quick connects look standard, but may be Camplux proprietary connectors. I'll need to find a water inlet hose. There are other kits from Camplux that include the water inlet line (blue) and a 12V pump. This system says it will work on just a couple of PSI, so my DIY water tank should work. Overall, it weighs 10lbs, and packs up nicely into a specially designed tote bag that seems very well thoughtout.
I've been using this Camplux thankless water heater for about 8 months. I go camping once a month. It is very easy to install. I use it on my home made trailer. That I put a shower room.
I was sceptic at first. But wow, this thing does work great.Installing is easy. Plug and play.Expect for the stand that I have to screw. The water does heat up pretty quick.Once the propane is connected and water hose is attached. The water will be flowing out on the shower head. One thing I didn’t like is, there’s no on/off switch for the water. One the faucet is on, water is on and it takes like 5-10 seconds to warm the water. Thats quick for me.Heat temperature can be controlled. Which is good. Without it, probably water will boiling. It needs 2 D batteries. Not included on the package.Price is reasonable.I would recommend it.
So far I'm loving this portable on-demand hot water heater. We use it to get our spa to temperature quickly and even warm up the pool!Normally with the portable spa heater it can take anywhere from 8 to 15 hours to heat it to 102 degrees depending on starting temperature . This little heater can get it up to temp in one half to one hour depending on starting temperature. Its so easy to use and ignites first time every time. Its been the answer to our prayers. A tank of Propane last quite awhile too. I've been using it a couple of months now and no problems. The hand held shower is really nice too, gives decent pressure and gas a water pause button to boot. I"ll update if anything Changes with it. Overall I'm very impressed with it. Update, still working awesome!! First use of the summer it fired right up. Still really impressed with this little water heater.
I found this unit to be very useful. I am much happier getting the 12v pump with the water heater together since it is sized correctly for the unit. Been taking showers with it now for a few weeks at our off-grid cabin while we build our forever home nearby. I bought a small 12v battery that has it's own on/off switch, a 5-gallon bucket, and a small length of clear tubing for the over-pressure drain valve on the bottom of the water heater that feeds into the same bucket. So the only thing I will say is that temperature control is really based on the temperature of the water you freed it. I wait until just before I need a shower in this heat (80 -90 degree days) to pump water from my well so it's nice and cold. Because this water heater will make the water too hot even on the lowest setting if you don't start with relatively cool water. It heats whatever the temperature of the water is a set number of degrees warming (based on the red temp knob). A 5-gallon bucket is enough water for a comfortable shower, including shaving in the shower. I would highly recommend the unit WITH the pump, they just work well together. I also bought a nicer hand held shower head just to make it even better.
Great little heater for camping. Used it on our camping trip. Easy to set up and use. Need a safe place to hang it out of reach of dogs and small hands. We purchased to have hot water in our outdoor kitchen and it meets our needs.
This CAMPLUX portable tankless water heater is terrific. Without a water heater in our travel trailer and vacation cabin, this is the perfect answer to quick set up and use. It is really handy to have the free standing base for the trailer and a built in wall hanger for the cabin. Quick set up and disassembly. The sturdy carry bag provided makes it easy and convenient to pack up and transport. No tools needed. Just bring along your own propane tank and enjoy endless hot water.
The Camplux 5L is a nice tankless water heater. The kit includes everything including tools. Two DC water pump harnesses. Cig lighter plug and another harness with battery clamps. Comes with quick disconnects, mounting hardware, rubber seals and a nice instruction manual. I hooked it up and it works great. I bought a Silvel diesel heater and it had no Dc connectors and was DOA on arrival. It is nice when a company makes a good quality unit and gives you the needed attachments to use it.
First unit I received had issues with the temperature control, but the seller made it right with a quick replacement. The unit I have now works perfectly. Super hot water in seconds, very easy to use. Highly recommended.
I bought this to run hot water for our completely off grid cabin. It's perfect for our needs. Hot water within about 5-10 seconds.Better yet, when the igniter stopped working, they responded lightning fast and replaced the unit right away.Extremely happy with the product and service!
Ok this product makes my life better !I work concrete construction and after a hard day on the job my outdoor shower is something to look forward to!I purchased a extended propane hose so the propane bottle could be hidden, got a splitter for the house made the shower and your all set! It’s very adjustable..can get very hot if you want...The only thing that I can complain about is the vent is very wind sensitive... a stiff breeze will blow out the flames..I rectified the situation by getting a piece of tin to partially cover it when it’s windy and when it cools to cover it from rain. The shower head turns it on and off with a button on the handle...it fires right up and I get hot water in 5 seconds..Enjoy !You won’t be disappointed
BUYER BEWARE I used this for the first time and it literally CAUGHT FIRE. The flame was so large it was going to burn all of the wiring inside. I tripple checked all the connections, everything was fine. This is not a safe product.
To be real, We’ve used other heaters before, but this AY132 portable water heater outshines them all. It’s quicker to ignite, more stable, and user-friendly. For outdoor adventurers operating on the eastside of Canada, it’s a noticeable upgrade.
Wasn't sure about it at first but wow, Used it in some pretty wild places — even on a muddy riverbank. Worked perfectly. For DIYers, it just handles the odd jobs.
Didn't expect much at first, This portable water heater paid for itself quickly. Hot water on-demand changed how we travel and clean up. DIYers like us appreciate gear that delivers every time, especially for pet outdoor showering.
