Electric Tankless Water Heaters
Electric Tankless Water Heaters — No Gas Line, No Problem
A lot of Canadian homes — especially condos, basement suites, and newer builds — don't have a gas line anywhere near the water heater. That's where electric tankless makes sense. No venting, no gas permit, no combustion. Just wire it in and you're done.
The honest caveat: electric tankless units draw significant amperage. A 27kW whole-home unit needs a 240V/120A dedicated circuit. If your panel is already near capacity, that's a real conversation to have with an electrician before you order.
That said, if your electrical is ready, these units are remarkably clean to install and run.
For whole-home coverage, the Camplux 27kW whole-house unit handles 3–4 simultaneous outlets in moderate climates — think BC or Ontario spring/fall. The 14kW model is better suited for a single bathroom or small suite, and the 11kW version works well as a point-of-use booster under a sink or in a workshop.
Not sure if electric tankless is right for your situation? Compare with our Gas Tankless Water Heaters, or if you just need a small under-sink unit, the Electric Mini Tank Water Heaters are a simpler option with no electrical upgrade required.
All Camplux electric tankless units are ETL-listed and meet Canadian electrical safety standards.
